A Referrers Guide to Imaging-
Guided Musculoskeletal Injections
We are giving a presentation for General Practitioners with the
aim of going through all of the evidence, pros, cons and tips
for imaging guided injections. The talk will suit all levels, from
those with minimal experience in ordering the injections, to
those who are experts and want to stay up to date.
Some of the injections we’ll talk about include:

Shoulder - subacromial/subdeltoid bursa and intra-
articular
•
Elbow - common flexor and extensor tendons
•
Hand and wrist - De Quervains, carpal tunnel, trigger
finger
•
Hip - trochanteric bursa and intra-articular
•
Knee intra-articular
•
Lumbar spine (facet, perineural, epidural)
•
Plantar fascia
The discussion will include a review of the evidence, as well as
general tips on patient selection, and what to expect
afterwards.
