How can I make a booking?
You can make a booking by either calling us or coming into the practice.
Do you bulk bill?
We routinely bulk bill all tests that are Medicare eligible.
Is there easy parking?
Yes, we are located on the side of the rooftop carpark - so there are hundreds of car spots right outside our front door. Parking is free for 2 hours however we can extend this to 3 hours if you are having a test done. Disabled spots are at our front door.
Do you run on time?
As a patient-focussed practice we generally DO run on time. We recognise that your time is valuable, so if your appointment is 10:30 you will likely be going in for your exam within 10 minutes of that time. We often run ahead of time, so if you are early you may get to go in before your allocated time.
What happens if I am late?
We will try our best to accommodate you, however if you miss your appointment you may have to rebook for a later time or another day, depending on what we have available.
What do I need to bring?
We require a copy of your referral letter as well as your Medicare card if you have one. For some procedures, you may require a driver to drive you home afterwards. If you have difficulty speaking English, it is helpful if you can bring someone to help translate.
Do you have urgent spots?
Yes, we have urgent spots available for most tests. These are for medically urgent (life threatening) tests that must be done immediately. For example, a CT Pulmonary Angiogram (CTPA) to exclude blood clots in the lungs, an ultrasound to look for blood clots in the legs, or an ultrasound to exclude an ectopic pregnancy are all examples of these.
Do I need to book for X-ray?
No, but you can if you would prefer. These are generally fast tests so even if you walk in there should be minimal wait. You can call ahead to get some idea.
Do I need to book for ultrasound?
Generally yes. Some ultrasounds exams require special preparation such as fasting which need to be completed prior to the test. We do have some urgent spots available every day, however there could be a wait so it is best to call ahead and you will be given a time.
Do I need to book for CT?
If you want to minimise your wait, then yes. We do have a walk-in list where you can turn up without a booking, however there will be a wait, depending on the day. Some tests require preparation which may need to be completed first.
Do I need to book for a biopsy or injection?
As a general rule you do need to book for a procedure, because there are limited spots available.
Do you need my referral when I book?
We try to get as much information over the phone to determine what test you need, however sometimes there may be other things written on the request that we don't know about, and sometimes it can be hard for patients to figure out exactly which test has been requested. The most reliable way to book is if we can see the referral.
What if I have multiple tests?
We can try and schedule your tests so they all happen at the same time, however this may result in a delay. It is often faster to do the tests individually. Some tests cannot be performed together, and will have to be done separately.
I'm a private patient, how much will it cost?
That depends on the test - you'll need to call us to get a quote. Please note that if you are having a biopsy, then you will be charged separately by the pathology company that we use.
What payment methods do you have?
We accept cash and all major credit cards. If you have a Medicare card you will be bulk billed and will not need to pay.
Do you do workers compensation tests?
Yes, just let us know when you book that it is related to workers compensation. You will need pre-approval for most tests and a copy of your claim number so we can process it correctly.

How long does my referral for a test last?
There are two time limits on a request which are determined by Medicare. Your request is valid for 12 months, however if there are multiple tests on the one request, they must all be done within 7 days. For example, you might have a request for an ultrasound and a CT. You can have the tests done 11 months later, but both the ultrasound and the CT must be done within 7 days of each other, otherwise the request will expire. This is especially important where multiple procedures such as injections have been requested.
