X-Ray

X-Ray

X-Ray: An X-Ray image is created by passing a small amount of radiation through a specific body area. Different internal structures absorb varying levels of radiation, causing solid bones to appear white and softer tissues like muscles to appear grey. As the most common form of medical imaging, X-Rays are quick and widely used to assess various parts of the body. Depending on the exam, they may be performed while you’re standing or lying down. Although the procedure itself is painless, some positioning may cause minor discomfort. A referral from a medical practitioner is required for an X-Ray. At Clearview Medical Imaging, no appointment is needed—just visit your nearest clinic.
